Many members will recall the BCMH’s ‘War & Peace in the Age of Napoleon’ Conference which took place in that almost forgotten world prior to the COVID pandemic.

Helion have now published the Proceedings of the Conference as The Sword and the Spirit, Proceedings of the first ‘War & Peace in the Age of Napoleon’ Conference edited by Zack White. Zack, together with Eamonn o'Keefe organised the event:

BCMH members are entitled to a discount of 25% off the proceedings of the BCMH Napoleonic conference. Code is BCMHSpirit25 and is valid from 18 June (when the book launches) to 18 July. The code needs to be used when ordering the book from the Helion website using this link: https://www.helion.co.uk/military-history-books/the-sword-and-the-spirit-proceedings-of-the-first-war-and-peace-in-the-age-of-napoleon-conference.php

The keynote speakers were Dr Catriona Kennedy (University of York) and Dr Edward Coss (U.S. Army Command and General Staff College). There were over forty speakers with three keynotes from three (or four) continents.
