In a newly-released podcast with the Royal United Services Institute, BCMH member Dr Adam Storring (King’s College London) discusses the military strategy of King Frederick II of Prussia (‘Frederick the Great’, reigned 1740-86).

Dr Storring describes Frederick’s strategy of ‘short and lively’ wars, its evolution particularly as a result of the experiences of the Seven Years War of 1756-63, and the lessons it holds for contemporary strategy-makers.
