Survey of Military History PhDs

Back in February this question was raised:

On a more general point, is there any way of monitoring military history post-graduate and post-doctoral research at UK institutions? There may be occasions where their research is relevant to our work, which could be mutually beneficial.

Dr Chris Phillips at Aberystwyth Staff profiles  : Department of International Politics , Aberystwyth University replied: Re: the query about lists of completed theses, I have taken over the responsibility for compiling this list from Professor [Ian] Beckett [at Exeter]. The next list [of theses with a focus on British military history] will be appearing in the Journal of the Society for Army Historical Research later in the year, and will cover those submitted up to 2021. The lists are published each year in the Journal, which is available on JSTOR to non-members at JSTOR Archive - SAHR. Chris believes that anyone can register for a free JSTOR account, which gives them access to a number of articles - up to 100 per month during the pandemic. He can be contacted at chp54@aber.ac.uk .
