The Friends of the Lines of Torres Vedras (FLTV) has kindly invited all members of the BCMH to the Annual Torres Vedras Day Dinner on Friday, 18 October 2019. The venue is the Cavalry & Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, Mayfair, London.
In honour of the fact that the Portuguese government has designated the 20th October as the Day of the Lines of Torres Vedras, a talk and dinner has been arranged on Friday 18 October 2019, at the Cavalry and Guards Club at 127 Piccadilly, London W1J 7PX.
The evening will commence with a very brief Annual General Meeting after which there will be the talk by Marcus de la Poer Beresford, a member of the BCMH, on the Portuguese Contribution to the Peninsular War. Marcus has recently written the definitive biography of Marshal Beresford:

To attend for the talk only, will cost £25. The talk and dinner will be £75 for members of the Friends and £95 for non-members.
