The International Society of First World War Studies is inviting proposals from current PhD students and Early Career Researchers who are working on topics related to the First World War in the broadest sense, including the origins and the aftermath of the conflict. Scholars from a wide range of disciplines from across the world (especially the global South) are encouraged to apply. The conference welcomes proposals on social, cultural, literary aspects of the war alongside more traditional military history subjects, such as strategy, leadership, technology, etc. This online conference will take place on Wednesday, 17 June 2026.
