It is with great regret that the Commission passes on the sad news that Chris McCarthy has died suddenly.  Chris has been a long-standing, much loved and devoted supporter of the Commission and a past Secretary-General, and we pass on our heartfelt condolences to his wife Kate Mazur and the family.’
