The summer issue of the BJMH is now available. This is a Special Issue having the theme of America and the Second World War 80 Years On. It has been  compiled by Guest Editor, Dr Christian O’Connell.

Through their fascinating articles, the issue’s authors examine topics related to the experience of a range of minority and marginalised groups during and after the Second World  War;  they  include  Conscientious  Objectors,  Japanese  American  internees, Black prisoners of war, Japanese war brides, lesbians and post-war students avoiding the American draft. The articles tell stories of the American experience of the war and its aftermath, stories that are not normally heard.
