EUROPE REMEMBERS 75
https://europeremembers.com/
The  primary objective of Europe Remembers is to make the final phase of the Second World War visible, inviting as many people as possible to become acquainted with the international route and the events, exhibitions and commemorations surrounding 75 years of freedom. Additionally, the Liberation Route Europe Foundation (LREF) wants to increase the understanding of the hardships and sacrifices that were made in the war, recognise the experiences of those involved in the war, and increase the awareness of the vulnerability of our freedom. The campaign will also address stories of the liberation period and connect organisations concerned with history and heritage.
LIBERATION ROUTE EUROPE
https://liberationroute.com
Liberation Route Europe is a continuously growing, international remembrance trail that connects important milestones from modern European history. It forms a link between the main regions along the Western Allied Forces’ advance from southern England, to the beaches of Normandy, the Belgian Ardennes, South Eastern provinces of the Netherlands, the Hürtgen Forest and on to Berlin. The route then continues to the Polish city of Gdańsk, where a democratic revolution for overcoming the division of Europe was launched nearly two generations later. Since 2016 the Liberation Route Europe started the development of the Southern route, starting in Sicily.
LIBERATION ROUTE EUROPE FOUNDATION
The Liberation Route Europe Foundation works with government organisations, universities, museums, veteran societies, commemorative events organisers, travel agents, tour operators and other tourism organisations in Western Europe and Poland, to bring together national perspectives on the liberation of Europe, to learn and share experiences and understanding, in order to create a unified awareness of the importance of freedom. The foundation commemorates the events of the Second World War and encourages the citizens of Europe to celebrate and cherish it for the future.
